Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing after your journey and settling into Tanzania. The evening is kept easy, giving you time to prepare for the safari ahead.
Overnight: Arusha
Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire
After breakfast, leave Arusha and drive toward Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, the scenery begins to open into classic savannah dotted with giant baobab trees. Spend your first day easing into the wilderness before continuing to your accommodation in or near Tarangire.
Overnight: Tarangire
Day 3: Tarangire
Head out early with a packed breakfast and spend the day exploring Tarangire with a picnic lunch along the way. Look for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife across the park’s varied habitats. The Tarangire River, enormous baobabs and large elephant herds give the park a distinctive character and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Day 4: Tarangire - Ngorongoro
Begin with breakfast and an early game drive in Tarangire before travelling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, pass through areas such as Mto wa Mbu and Karatu, where you can glimpse everyday local life beyond the national parks. Arrive near the crater rim and spend the afternoon relaxing or visiting a nearby cultural or community attraction.
Overnight: Ngorongoro
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater with your private safari guide and vehicle. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos and other wildlife, stopping for lunch at a designated picnic area. Continue the game drive before ascending from the crater and travelling onward to your lodge or back toward Arusha.
