Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your journey and settling into Tanzania. Your guide will also take you through the safari ahead so you are ready for the adventure to begin.
Overnight: Arusha
Days 2–3: Tarangire National Park — 2 Nights
Fly from Arusha to Tarangire, where your safari guide will meet you at the airstrip and begin the first game drive en route to camp. Spend the next two days exploring a landscape famous for enormous baobab trees, sweeping savannah and impressive elephant herds. Keep watch for giraffes, buffalo, antelope, lions, leopards and the many other species that make Tarangire such a rewarding introduction to northern Tanzania.
Overnight: Tarangire
Days 4–5: Ngorongoro Crater — 2 Nights
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Tarangire before continuing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, either by flight from Kuro Airstrip to Manyara or by road transfer. The following day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari with a picnic lunch surrounded by one of Africa’s most remarkable natural landscapes. The crater floor offers an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within the walls of this ancient volcanic caldera.
Overnight: Ngorongoro
Days 6–8: Northern Serengeti — 3 Nights
Transfer to the airstrip and fly into the Northern Serengeti, where your guide will meet you and begin exploring almost immediately. Spend the following days around the Mara River, Kogatende and Lamai areas, adjusting the route according to wildlife movements and conditions. During the migration season, this region becomes especially dramatic, while its resident wildlife makes the northern plains rewarding even outside the main migration months.
Overnight: Northern Serengeti
Final Day: Northern Serengeti → Arusha / Kilimanjaro
Begin the morning with one final game drive across the Northern Serengeti before making your way to the airstrip. Fly back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro depending on your onward travel arrangements. Leave the Serengeti behind with one last aerial perspective of the landscapes that have shaped your journey.
